What is the best DJ software out there for a laptop DJ to use? Money is no object I just want the best! cheers

hey dudes, hope all is well. I'm so keen into my music and I was a radio DJ for a few years, I really want a piece of comprehensive software that's gonna be really responsive for a live DJ set. I don't mind a steep learning curve I just want a quality piece of software. What does everybody reccomend? Rock on and hope this question finds you well, Bolanboy.

    Hiya!
I had a similar question a few months back, and used trial versions of about five of the major players in the market.

On the back of that research, I’m now using a basic version of Virtual DJ (http://www.virtualdj.com/), which is simple, clear and powerful. You can get all sorts of even more professional versions to suit your needs though.

Some of the best features are the ability to download loads of ‘effects’ like extra flangers or brakes, and it’s support for physical mixers which you can plug into the laptop. I also bought a mini usb sound card off ebay - for about £2 - which allows you to have two sound outputs (for headphone previews.) Even more exciting, the new version allows you to mix videos too, and send them up to a big screen!

Give the trial version a go, I reckon it’s well worth it.
