What’s the best equipment to begin DJ’ing?

I’d like to try DJ’ing (no scratching), what’s the best equipment for a beginner?
I have 1000 € (= 1.284 US $ = 676 £) but I don’t want to buy too expensive stuff…
I need two turntables and a DJ mixer (2 input channels are enough).
Sorry, I forgot to tell about that… I’d prefer vinyl decks…

i hav dun sum mixing before n hav subs for parties.
im 15 though so aint really loaded but i cann probably work up a few hundred.
