I would like assistance choosing DJ turntables and equipment..PLEASE.?

Ok heres the deal..I'm in china studying chinese..
I really like music never considered djing but by some stroke of luck and some smooth talking i got a job as a dj..It was on cdjs though.. Pioneer CDJ 400..Really cool. I got a grasp on mixing and beat-matching..For a beginner anyway. I did it for three months made some money doing that but i had to quit because i needed to study finals coming up ..Anyway I'm going back to Miami for a little bit..I would like to learn the old hard way to do it..like cdjs were cool but turntables and records have a certain appeal to me..So i want to go that route..And i've found various deals on craigslist mostly on technics.. However i dont know if technics is the route i should go..I know they are the best but do i need the best? I mean at this stage, but i also know they are the built to last and maybe others arent..Now that i need I don't wanna invest in bad equipment..On top of that i need to bring it back here with me to china im going to be here for at least another year. Also i know i need to have 2 turntables a mixer..But what do i need as far as cables to hook everything up..
How about speakers..Right now i have some Samson Media One 3a monitors that i use with my computer but can i use that with the turntable setup?? They werent cheap but not expensive around 0..Then of course the records..Thats the most imporatant part i dont want to leave that out.And of course the cartridge and needle/stylus..However i don't know too much about that.So thats my main problem which one i should get....
Most of these offers on craiglist for the technics run about 380-600 dollars..Some have just the decks..Some are bundled with the mixer stylus and mixer..Some even with a coffin..Like i think i need all that because i need to bring it back and keep it safe etc etc...I dont see many other decks on craiglist i saw stanton tr880s and numarks i havent heard good things about numark though..Like what i want is a decent turntable to learn on..But i don't want to be limited or grow out of it fast because i dont plan on getting more equipment after this..At least not for a long time..But i dont want to have to..So my plight is should i get the slightly better turntables and get the other ones and get more records..Because its about the music..

If it helps i plan to learn to beatmix beatmatch and learn that well..But i know at some point scratching is going to cross my mind..

Ive recently gotten into all electronic music like big time..3 months ago i was basically completely oblivious to all aspects of electronic music house minimal tech house etc..Ive always been a hip hop head..This job enlightened me because thats all they wanted..But ive really grown to like it as well as djing like since i finished working its all i been looking and reading on.

on top of all that ive been learning piano here and im also getting an mpc 2000xl which i knew i wanted for about 2 years..but like i said i busted my butt and worked and now im in a position to get these things..i also wanna sample and put stuff together but thats another story...
Im 18 and i just would like assistance from people with know-how.
I know this was really long and complicated but i really really appreciate any responses.
You could see all the offers on craigslist.com then you choose Miami you search turntables and some results come up..I would just like some input..
Thanks a bunch!
Also i have a budget of around 0 including records.. Thats why im thinking craigslist ..Thanks

I’m afraid the first guy is absolutely right. However if you want to shave off a couple hundred on the turntables, the Vestax PDX 2000 MK2 turntables have been known to give Technics a run for their money (around 300 to 400 dollars a pop). My favorite is the Stanton str8. 150, though they only compare to the Technics, they do have the strongest motor on the moarket (strong motor = strong torque = great for scratching!). Both of these are used by professionals.

You have a good budget to get started. And if you find the right equipment, you might not need another major upgrade. As far as cables go, the turntables should come with everything you need to hook it up to your mixer. I’d keep/buy 2+ RCA cables, just in case. You need RCA to hook mixer to amp. And some speaker cables to go from amp to speakers.

As far as your records go, buy what pleases you. Some top 40 songs of course, but you need some hidden gems as well. Such as older songs that didn’t get the attention they deserved, amazing throw backs, and a few hidden weapons only you would have. This is YOUR collection of music and no one elses, truly make it yours. I also like to mash up jazz and funk with modern stuff, but that’s mostly for the hip hop style.
If you’re really lucky, I would highly recommend Scratch Live. Just like vinyl except the songs can be carried on your laptop. Research it. If not that, then a crapload of vinyls is the original way.

Most clubs will require 1000 to 2000 watts of sound power! If you’re more into smaller venues, then get a 1000ish watt amp and matching speakers. This way you will be well equipped for bedroom practices, small venues and some smaller club-like situations. Note: about 99.99% of all clubs will have provided all dj equipment for you.

Good luck! If you truly have passion for this, nothing can stop you.

Yea I know how you feel "Rene B" hum… Im 19 years onld and I’ve been in the mix for 7 years now, so I know what you should do in your situation. What i would recommend you to do Is to get the Technics Turn tables, I know they are a little expensive but they are the best ones out there. Keep this in mind "If you wanna give the best you must have the best equipment". Now You will need a Denon Mixer. That is also the best out there for turning tables. and you will also need some audio cables or audio jacks. Right now I have a $20,000.00 Dollar value sound system and 80% of it I bought it at Guitar Center that is one of the best stores you can buy your equipment at. You can click the link below and see if there is one in your area.
