How do I get my headphone to work while I am playing a song on a Dj mixer software?

Can anyone tell me how do I listen to a track on the headphones while I am playing a song on the computer? I downloaded this Dj mixer software but can seem to figure out how to listen to one track on the headphones while playing another track out loud. Please anyone help.

In order to listen to one track while another is playing (cue) on a computer, you generally need a second sound card, a 4×4 sound card (which is really two soundcards), or something acting as a USB or FireWire interface, like an external DJ controller.

The only way to cue with only one sound card is to use software that supports "mono duplexing", which really splits your stereo sound card, using the right for the audio coming out of the speakers and the left for your headphone monitoring. Obviously, this will make your sound output in mono, which won’t sound very good on a loud system.

Rather than buying a second sound card, I would recommend looking for an inexpensive USB sound adaptor. I know I’ve seen them cheaper, but here’s one for $30, which isn’t too much dough in the big scheme of things http://www.pssl.com/Behringer-UFO202-USB-Audio-Interface-W-Phono-Inpt . This will plug in to your USB port and allow you to monitor in your headphones.
